So who am I and what the heck am I doing?

That's a good lead-off question. As in an earlier post, I am indeed the technology coordinator for a school district here in Western Arkansas. I'm sort of a long way removed from this particular job, at least educationally. I have a principal-friend of mine who still doesn't fully trust me because I started out as an Ag teacher. Who Am I?

I'm no longer in the classroom, per se. I'm in many, many classrooms. I'm now the technology coordinator for the school district that I have worked for going on 5 years now. I will bore you with why that happened someday in more detail--let it suffice for the moment to say that the old tech coordinator has been called to Iraq and I guess I was a viable candidate. I stopped teaching (kids at least!) at the end of the semester and began this job in January.

There have been several changes in my life lately--some more important than others...but the bottom lineis that I wanted to start writing again. So here's my attempt. There are few readers, I know, but I'm doing this more for personal reasons than anything else. I'm experimenting with different clients for blogging and even have blogs now both at blogspot.com and wordpress.com. The username for those sites is theschoolcomputerguy, in case you get froggy. I've got a lot posted here (at least, a lot for ME) so this is where I'm picking up just as quickly as I left off. We will see which platform and blogging service is the most user friendly. I will keep you posted.
